I’m not entirely sure what is so “American” about banana brownies. I’m American, and I’ve never cooked banana brownies in my life, nor have I had a banana brownie. Nonetheless, this was the first recipe I chose to cook (bake) with Personal Trainer: Cooking. Despite a lot of yelling “CONTINUE” in various speeds, tones, and volumes, and “GO BACK” with increasing amounts of frustration and rage, the brownies didn’t burn, smelled good while cooking. They lasted about a day. I ate one, Tyler ate one, and the next day they were as hard as hockey pucks. My overall rating is two bananas out of five; inedible after 12 hours and overall bland in flavor the reason for the score. However, the insertion of a corner-sliced piece of parchment paper was ingenious and made cleanup a breeze. This would also be useful for presenting brownies outside of the dish. Here’s a picture regardless!
